Laid off swings often start too flat. Vertical wrist hinge creates the necessary height and steepness early to prevent laying it off late.

How to do it

    In the takeaway, focus on hinging the thumbs UP toward the sky.

    Do not roll the forearms (which points the club horizontally).

    Feel 'Thumbs Up' early in the backswing.

  4. 4

    This keeps the clubhead outside the hands and steepens the shaft.
