Why this drill works

Teaches a dynamic pressure shift without excessive lateral mass movement. By stepping, you learn to spike pressure into the ground to stop momentum and convert it into rotation, rather than sliding the hips or upper body.

How to do it

  1. 1

Start with the club out in front of you (follow-through position).

  2. 2

Swing the club back while taking a step BACK with your lead foot.

  3. 3

Swing through while taking a step FORWARD with your lead foot.

  4. 4

Focus on shifting force ahead of the club on both sides while keeping your mass centered.
