How To Fix S-Posture In Golf
Drill by BreakThrough Physical Therapy, Wellness and Sports Performance

Why this drill works
S-posture locks the pelvis into anterior tilt and makes the golfer run out of space early. Neutralizing the rib cage and pelvis improves core control, supports a cleaner shoulder turn, and reduces the urge to stand up or spin flat through the shot.
How to do it
- 1
Set up normally, then exhale and soften the rib flare so the lower back does not stay over-arched.
- 2
Lightly tuck the belt buckle under until the pelvis feels neutral rather than tipped forward.
- 3
Maintain that neutral pelvis while hinging from the hips and letting the arms hang naturally.
- 4
Make slow backswings keeping the chest turning over the ball without re-arching the lower back.
- 5
Use a mirror or phone camera to confirm the spine angle stays neutral at address and during rehearsals.
