Why This Drill Works (Kinetic Mechanics)
Challenges core stabilization and weight transfer, training consistent low point and repeatable center strike.
How to Perform the Drill
Follow these step-by-step instructions. Rehearse slowly to build proper motor patterns before adding full swing speed.
- 1
Step 1
Make a full swing at 75% speed.
- 2
Step 2
Hold finish position on lead leg with trail toe barely touching ground for stability.
- 3
Step 3
Count 3 full seconds aloud at finish without falling or stepping off line.
- 4
Step 4
If balance is lost early, reduce speed until posture holds solid.
What Good Feels Like
Focus on smooth tempo and maintaining body connection through impact. Your body and club should move as a single synchronized unit.
Common Mistake to Avoid
Rushing transition before completing backswing or lunging upper body forward towards ball at impact. Keep movement controlled.
