Why This Drill Works (Kinetic Mechanics)

Setup tilt and tee placement directly alter attack angle, giving the player instant trajectory adjustments without breaking swing mechanics.

How to Perform the Drill

Follow these step-by-step instructions. Rehearse slowly to build proper motor patterns before adding full swing speed.

  1. 1

    Step 1

For high launch: tee ball high (half ball above crown), tilt spine 5 degrees away from target.

  2. 2

    Step 2

For low stinger: tee ball level with crown, move ball back 1 inch, keep shoulders level.

  3. 3

    Step 3

Execute full swings comparing launch height and total carry versus roll-out.

  4. 4

    Step 4

Track apex height variation on a launch monitor or visual target grid.

What Good Feels Like

Focus on smooth tempo and maintaining body connection through impact. Your body and club should move as a single synchronized unit.

Common Mistake to Avoid

Rushing transition before completing backswing or lunging upper body forward towards ball at impact. Keep movement controlled.
