Why This Drill Works (Kinetic Mechanics)
Unlocks X-Factor stretch potential by warming up thoracic spine and hip joint capsule mobility.
How to Perform the Drill
Follow these step-by-step instructions. Rehearse slowly to build proper motor patterns before adding full swing speed.
- 1
Step 1
Cross club across shoulders and enter golf posture.
- 2
Step 2
Rotate shoulders 90 degrees while keeping hips square to stretch thoracic spine.
- 3
Step 3
Rotate hips 45 degrees while keeping shoulders square to separate lower/upper body.
- 4
Step 4
Perform 10 dynamic rotations each side before hitting range balls.
What Good Feels Like
Focus on smooth tempo and maintaining body connection through impact. Your body and club should move as a single synchronized unit.
Common Mistake to Avoid
Rushing transition before completing backswing or lunging upper body forward towards ball at impact. Keep movement controlled.
