Why this drill works

Ensures stability in the trail leg and prevents the pressure from shifting too far to the toes. Keeping the pressure in the heel promotes proper internal hip rotation, which is necessary for a full turn.

How to do it

    Place a sand wedge (or a clubhead) under your right heel.

  2. 2

    As you rotate in your backswing, actively push your right heel into the ground, applying pressure to keep the club stable.

  3. 3

    Focus on maintaining this heel pressure throughout the backswing.
